Personalized Care Through the Changes of Adult Life
Women can experience significant health changes during their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. Perimenopause and menopause can affect symptoms, sleep, sexual health, bone health, metabolism, and quality of life—but every woman’s experience is different.
Primary Care Center is developing a dedicated Women’s Health program that combines internal medicine, preventive care, healthy aging, metabolic health, and individualized menopause care.

Menopause Deserves Individualized Care
Menopause is a natural stage of life, but symptoms can significantly affect daily life. Treatment should not begin with the assumption that every woman needs hormones—or that no woman should use them. The right approach is individualized.
We consider symptoms, age and stage of menopause, medical history, uterus status, cardiovascular and blood-clot risk, cancer history, bone health, patient preferences, and the potential benefits and risks of available treatments.
Hormone Therapy
For appropriate patients, menopausal hormone therapy may be one treatment option. Depending on the patient’s symptoms and medical history, treatment may involve estrogen therapy, estrogen with appropriate progestogen protection when needed, vaginal therapy, or nonhormonal options.
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for every woman, and treatment decisions require individualized medical assessment.
